Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
At Templenewsam Halton Primary School we aim for all children with SEND to fulfil their potential and wherever possible, reach or exceed age-related expectations.
We aim to equip children with the necessary skills to achieve positive outcomes in life and foster a love of life-long-learning. Through Quality First Teaching (QFT) and the delivery of interventions, we strive to develop the skills and knowledge children with SEND require to achieve positive life chances.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENDCO) is Miss Georgia Hitch (pictured).

Mental Health & Well-being
Templenewsam Halton Primary School is committed to improving mental health and well-being through education and offering support. We teach all pupils about mental health and how to look after their own and others around them.
Speech and Language Therapy
We work in partnership with our local health care providers including NHS Leeds Speech and Language Therapy Team. In school, our Teachers and Learning Support Assistants liaise closely with Speech and Language therapists and carry out support programmes in school under their guidance and support. If we feel your child may benefit from speech and language therapy, we will talk to you about putting in a referral to the service to get their advice and support.
