Our School

Templenewsam Halton Primary School is a community primary school in Leeds. It was established as the village school in 1842 and has been maintaining its important role in the community ever since.

The school accommodates children in the 3 – 11 age group, with approximately 500 children on role, organised into 14 mixed ability classes, alongside a school nursery.

History

Templenewsam Halton Primary School was established in 1842 in a Victorian structure still existing today. This structure is no longer part of the primary school. The old building used to be home to two Year 6 classrooms, a library, an ICT suite and a music practice room, until 2009, when the use of the building was transferred to the Elect school.
