School Council

Our School Council comprises children from each year group who are elected by their peers to represent the views of their class and year group.

Children meet weekly to feedback  concerns or ideas from their class to help improve school. The School Council also carries out key roles in school around monitoring the quality of education and school experience that children are having from their point of view. Our councillors ensure that the voice of our children is heard loud and clear at Templenewsam. They are responsible for our adventure playground and out door classroom/nature area and have recently carried out headteacher interviews as part of our leadership recruitment.
