Year 3 visit to Howsham Mill

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Howsham Mill. They created water mills, read and annotated maps and roasted marshmallows over an open fire. The location was beautiful, a tiny island surrounded by the River Derwent. Despite a great visit, it will be a long time before we are sold on the idea of composting toilets! Year 3’s behaviour was great, and they were extremely responsible when roasting their marshmallows for the s’mores. Well done Year 3.
