World Book Day

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 5th March and we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate our love of reading across school.  

We will have lots of fun activities taking place throughout the day including:  

• Secret Readers across year groups: Teachers will swap places to read their favourite story to a different class.  

• Every class across school will be focusing on the same picture book during the day. The day will be centred around the story and children will be able to share their learning with their peers.  

• In addition to this, children will be invited to enter a competition, from Nursery to Year 6, to be crowned ‘The Extreme Reader of the Year’. Please take photos of your child reading in the most unusual place possible! We look forward to seeing your entries – the more imaginative, the better! Please send your photos to info@tnhps.rklt.co.uk There will be lots of prizes to be won! 

Best of all, although it is NOT a non-uniform day, your child can come dressed in anything book related, so come as a character from their favourite story or even come as their favourite word!  Please note NO SPORTS KITS!
