Role Models Attend Youth Summit

The Role Models at Templenewsam Halton Primary School attended the Youth Summit at Leeds Civic Hall on February 4th. We were given free rail travel to the event and even met and escorted to the venue.

Our Role Models represented school brilliantly and were able to ask councillors questions about our local area as well work out the projects they would fund if they were in office!

The children were encouraged to “ask questions, be curious and think big” for our community – which they certainly did when talking to the local councillors.

The morning finished with a question-and-answer session with the mayor, who was open honest and extremely proud of our city.

Judging by the ideas, questions and observations of our Role Models we would not be surprised if one day it was one of them sitting in the Mayoral seat.
