This support can range from wrapping up Christmas presents or working on a stall during the Christmas Fair to judging artwork during a school competition. The PTFA are always looking for more volunteers “many hands make light work” and the easiest way to get in touch is to email tnhps_ptfa@yahoo.com who can then add you to the email distribution list or the group WhatsApp!

PTFA Focus for 2025

School is looking to upgrade the IT suite which will require significant resources to complete! In addition to upgrading the desktops within the existing IT suite, the school would like to also purchase enough new tablets for every student within a year group (60)! The cost associated with this exercise does not just cover the actual tablet computer but also needs to include licensing costs for the software and charging trolleys to charge all the units.

There is a lot of literature and research which has been done to understand how technology can assist with learning, available online. If each child had access to a tablet computer for a full lesson, each child could work to their own speed, allow teachers greater flexibility in teaching styles and content, can enable more independent learning as well as giving students access to the latest technology and become familiar using it!

The total cost to purchase and set up the new tablets would be in the region of £18,000 - and the PTFA would like to support this by donating 50% of the money needed! That’s £9,000 to be raised!

Luckily, the PTFA will not be starting from £0 as we have some of this within the kitty already, however there is still a significant gap which needs to be filled! We’ll be running a host of activities across 2025 to raise the remaining funds needed! We look forward to seeing you at these events!
